My name is Jodie. I’m not an expert on nutrition. I did not study nutrition in college or any health-related field. I do, however, try to keep up with all the latest news on nutrition, the foods we eat, the latest info from the FDA and other government regulators as well as any food manufacturing news. I have been digging up this information for a few years and have amassed a wealth of knowledge to share.

I have always had a love affair with food. I love hosting dinner parties simply to show off my culinary skills and fancy table-setting strategies. I thrive on preparing beautiful meals for beautiful tables. It’s just a passion I’ve had since I was a very young girl. My mom didn’t know much about cooking when she first got married and learned along the way. I think a lot of that must have been passed on to me in her learning process.

As a young adult, instead of learning to cook from my mother, I found myself sharing things with her. I taught her many things as I learned them. Today, we share ideas and recipes like many mothers and daughters and I just love doing it.

I have a collection of fabulous cookbooks on a shelf in my kitchen. Some are very old and some are the latest, fancy books on the market. Some are the standards (Betty Crocker, The Joy of Cooking, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Fanny Farmer) while others are some of the newest cookbooks to be created. I became somewhat obsessed with food, nutrition standards, processed foods, organics and several other aspects of food-related subjects a few years ago. I’ve always tried to be healthy, but since becoming a mom I’ve become more vigilant.

I scour websites for all the latest info, read books written by trainers and nutritionists, and try to keep up with exercise, fitness, health and nutrition personally on a daily basis. Here is where you will find all the latest info regarding nutrition and fitness that I have found. And you will discover what I discover as I uncover it. I’m thrilled to have a place to share all of the knowledge I’ve learned along the way as well as the new information I will discover in the future.
